St Aidan's Parish Centre is situated on Adswood Road in Huyton near Liverpool. First opened in a prefabricated building in 1954 as a social club, consisting of only 148 members (mainly men!). It was decided that the club needed to serve a greater and wide ranging parish community or go out of business altogether. This new ethos culminated in the club being rebuilt and opening in its current form in 1971. Whilst the club has a long and successful history serving the local area and continues to be very well supported by the local community, people also travel from further from far & wide to meet relatives, friends and hold private parties & functions.
St Aidan's Manager Jacqui Murray and her pleasant, well trained staff are always waiting to offer a warm welcome to all customers new & old. Since the heady days of the 1950's, the club has gone from strength to strength and is a very popular local facility. St Aidan's is run under a membership system but new members are always welcome and joining is very easy.
St Aidan's has a large comfortable members' lounge which incorporates a large screen TV (showing all major sporting events on SKY, freeview and terrestrial channels), well maintained snooker tables and leads out on to a new enclosed external drinking area.
In addition to the members lounges, We also have a large function/cabaret room that can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people.
Every Sunday we welcome top quality entertainers from all over the UK to our venue. They perform to a dedicated audience and are accompanied by our local resident DJ . The function room is available for hire on a Friday & Saturday evening and a Sunday afternoon.
